[00:00:00] Hello and welcome to the Divine Stream Radio Podcast. I'm your host, Graeme Blaiklock. Today we're exploring Acts 18, a chapter that highlights the power of community and perseverance in spreading the gospel. Paul in Corinth. Paul arrives in Corinth, a bustling city with diverse cultures and religions. He meets Aquila and Priscilla, a Jewish couple who share his tent-making trade.

[00:00:26] This partnership strengthens Paul's mission, showing the importance of working together in faith. Teaching in the synagogue. Every Sabbath, Paul teaches in the synagogue, trying to persuade both Jews and Greeks. His dedication illustrates the commitment needed to share the message of Christ, even when faced with resistance.

[00:00:49] Facing Opposition. Despite opposition, Paul remains steadfast. When the Jews of Corinth oppose him, he turns to the Gentiles, expanding the reach of his ministry. This decision underscores the inclusivity of the gospel. Encouragement from the Lord the Lord speaks to Paul in a vision, assuring him of his presence and protection.

[00:01:14] God's encouragement empowers Paul to continue his work without fear, reminding us that Emmanuel is ever-present and we're never alone in our endeavors. A year and a half in Corinth, Paul stays in Corinth for a year and a half, teaching the Word of God. This long-term commitment highlights the importance of perseverance and patience in ministry.

[00:01:43] Aquila and Priscilla's Role. Aquila and Priscilla play a crucial role in the early church. They accompany Paul to Ephesus and later meet Apollos, a learned man with a passion for Scripture. Their mentorship helps Apollos understand the way of God more accurately, showing how we can support and nurture others in their faith journey. Thanks for listening. I invite you to join the discussion.
