[00:00:13] Elijah abruptly appears on the scene of Israel's evil idolatry in 1 Kings 17. A prophet of God,
[00:00:21] he announces God's judgment, a drought, as punishment for the Baal worship into which
[00:00:27] Ahab, king of Israel, has led God's people.
[00:00:30] In the midst of the drought, God met all Elijah's needs with supernatural provision.
[00:00:36] We're told in 1 Kings 17.6, the ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning and bread
[00:00:43] and meat in the evening and he drank from the brook.

[00:00:55] and prepared for greater ministry.
[00:00:57] Joseph grew during his time of exile and imprisonment.
[00:01:02] Moses spent years in the desert before his greatest ministry.
[00:01:07] Esther spent a considerable amount of time being prepared to be presented to the king.
[00:01:12] Paul spent three silent years in Northern Arabia before he launched his ministry.
[00:01:18] Has God hidden you for a time?
